When I was invited to go on a trip to Slovenia in 2010, I had no idea what to expect. The plan was to meet and encourage some isolated Chri...stians there and discuss the possibility of planning a future music trip with my folk group Slemish.
We flew to Vienna from where our missionary friend drove the three hour car journey into Northern Slovenia,
where we would be based for the first few days. I probably slept most of the car journey and when I woke up we were still driving but it was really dark outside apart from what the headlights of
the car revealed. So I really had no idea what the landscape was like even when we arrived at our guest house because the pitch black darkness gave nothing away. As I went to sleep for the first
night in this dark new country I wondered what the dawn would reveal, but I had no idea that such a spectacular view would unfold
