See the Holy Lamb of God, who takes away our sin

Offering His Spirit for a life change from within

His power and position John the Baptist recognised

But yet the Saviour by this servant chose to be baptised

Importance of the sacrament by Him to be conveyed

River Jordan's mud and mire around his body swirls

As John immerses Jesus - the Creator of the World

The cleansing stream of your blood washing over me

My sins are buried and gone, you've taken every one

They're washed away in the flood and now I come up clean.

See the Holy Lamb of God up from the waters rise

The veil of heaven parting as he looks up to the skies

The Holy Dove descends and then a voice from heaven speaks

‘This is my Beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased’

What a demonstration of His resurrection day

God would look at Him and know our sins are washed away
