Words & Music: Nigel Cameron

Lord there are times when I have wandered

So far from where I should be

Lord there are times when I have squandered

The riches you’ve given me

Following my hearts desire left me all alone

Standing in the mud and mire

longing to come home

Grace brought me back to the Saviour

Grace threw a party for me

Grace, Your unmerited favour

Now You have forgiven me.

Lord there are times when I have rejected

The wisdom of all Your ways

Lord there are times when I have neglected

To honour You and obey

Leaving me in sinking sand, tainted and defiled

Yet You’re reaching out Your hand

for I’m still Your child

I’m astounded by Your grace

That You long to see my face

And no matter what I’ve done

Into Your arms I can run
