God speaks to us in many ways

I’m sure you will agree

But I wonder if you listen for what he says

Throughout His creativity

We don’t take time to stop and stare

At the wonders of His creation

So I’ve got some thoughts I’d like to share

With this whole congregation

You see God can speak with clarity

Through everything that we can see

So be prepared to share with me

This bitter sweet symphony

In the flashing of the lightning I can see Your power

Sometimes it’s very frightening when I’m driving in my car

But when I hear the thunder it only makes me stop and wonder

At who You really are (who You really are)

But I can see Your power just as much in a tiny creature

In a tree or a flower, for such is the whole of nature

Which You’ve planned and made, and so carefully displayed

For the likes of me, to smell and touch and see,

To hear and to feel and breathe

The reality of the Deity (The reality of the Deity)

I look at the starts in the night sky and I think they must be quite high

But that’s just the ones I can see, how many more must there be?

(We don’t know)

But when I’m dazzled by the sunlight and I’m thinking that it’s so bright

Even my shades aren’t dark enough for me

(And so?)

That just goes to show how small I really am

How little I can know of Your incredible plan

For my tiny finite brain it just can’t possibly explain

The creativity of the tings that I see

That’s why I just believe in the reality of the Deity

I’ve got the Deity reality in my life

When the storms of life arise and things aren’t looking very clear

I’m so caught by the surprise that my whole heart begins to fear

But even when the ocean’s swelling, still You’re telling me

That You are near (You are near)

But I have to make a choice when I think I hear Your voice

And launch into the deep, trusting You will really keep me

Sure and stable (Sure and stable) for I know that You are able

To protect me from all harm with Your own creative hands

There is no cause for alarm resting in the perfect plans

That You have for me, If I could always see

That when my eyes are fixed on You (When my eyes are fixed on You)

There is nothing more to do but realize how very true
