DAD TO THE SON OF GOD

(Joseph’s Prayer)

Words & Music: Nigel Cameron

Emmanuel, God with us

Oh Son of God born to earth inside Mary’s womb

Oh Holy child for your birth need to find you a room

I hear two hearts beating together now it won’t be long

These two kicking feet that will bring the Good News to everyone

Emmanuel, God with us

Wasn’t ready to be a daddy, I’m not ready to be Your daddy

How could I ever be dad to the Son of God

Yet you want me to be Your daddy, so help me to be the best I can be

I’ll be Your dad ‘till Your Father calls You home

Emmanuel, God with us

You spoke Creation into it’s existence,

But now you can’t even talk!

You stepped so far from your home to be with us

But will we have to teach you to walk?

Do you hold together the stars and the planets

While Mary holds You in her womb?

As Jehovah Jireh now with us inhabits,

Can we not provide Him a room?

Oh what a gift has been given,

Child of Mary yet born of Heaven

Immmanuel, God is with us,

How many know that You came to save us?

Oh what a gift       of extreme love

Oh what a gift sent from heaven above

Oh what a gift to be dad to the Son of God.

LITTLE BABY JESUS

Words & Music: Nigel Cameron

A star shines bright, beaming its light on a cattle stall;

Angels sing, their voices heralding the Saviour of all.

A tiny little baby bringing great joy;

Fulfilling the prophecy: this is the boy!

See his tiny little fingers gripping so tight;

Little toes on his feet kicking for joy;

Hear the sound of him cry with all of his might,

ordinary tears, but this is no ordinary boy!

For this tiny little child, in a manger laid

Is the very Light of Life in whom all things were made.

Little baby Jesus, Little baby Jesus…

God the One and Only, full of truth and grace-

In a tiny little baby, with the cutest little face!

And these are the hands that would one day feed the hungry;

These are the feet that would walk upon the sea;

This is the voice that would calm a raging storm;

But one day these tears would be blood from a crown of thorns.

This humble king, from the cattle stall, was born to die;

But this humble King, the Saviour of all, now reigns on high

The Risen King, Conquering King

Angels sing, their voices heralding, the Saviour of all.

SIMEON’S SONG

(Adapted from ‘What a Moment’)

Words & Music: Nigel Cameron

In just a moment all will be revealed

In just a moment You will be right here

And it’s so wonderful how it came to be.

In just a moment my future will be sealed

In just a moment all will be made clear

And it’s so wonderful, so wonderful, so wonderful to me.

Oh - oh, so wonderful, Oh - oh, so wonderful.

This is the moment I’ve been waiting for

This is the meeting of our lives

And it’s so beautiful, now You’re here with me

This is the moment I have dreamt about

To see Salvation with my eyes

You are so beautiful, so beautiful, so beautiful to see.

Oh-oh so beautiful, Oh-oh so beautiful

Oh-oh so beautiful, Oh-oh so beautiful

For this moment gazing on Your smile

For this moment it’s all been worthwhile

And I’m so thankful for this moment.

For this moment we’re together

For this moment I well ever

Be so thankful, so thankful

For this moment, for this moment.

Oh-oh what a moment, Oh-oh what a moment

Oh-oh what a moment, Oh-oh what a moment
